I was back at the hospital for check up. Looking good! The surgeon gave me another prescription of Hydrogen monoxide.
Next, my first appointment at the Ortho's office after the surgery. They took some mug shots and Cephalometric x-ray. The Assistants were saying that I didn’t look that swollen. Gee... I wonder how others look like. I did ask if I had any pressure bandage while I was passed out, because I didn't remember using one. He told me that in NL, other than in the USA, it is not common to use one. So we were more swollen than our counterparts. That explained my shock at the hospital. I mean, I knew that on the third day the swelling would be the largest. But what I had that day was beyond my imagination. It caught me by surprise.
I still have some numbness around my face especially on my right face. There is some tingling sensation at some places. Sometimes it itches and it drives my nuts. I am quite happy; it means the nerve is healing. I didn't drool, although I can't feel it if I spill my food on my chin. Funny thing is, I keep on feeling that I have some liquid running from the right corner of my mouth.
After my appointments we went to Madurodam in The Hague, about 30km from Rotterdam. They had Ice
Sculpting Exhibition inside and out side there’s miniature of Holland. Afterward we went for dinner in
the city... or I should say others had their dinner, I had my broth. I didn't have my syringe with me
since I thought we were going to have dinner at home. The waiter laughed at me when I asked if he had
some straw for me to sip my porridge. The nerve!
Note to self: never ever eat in Fat Kee again.
After dinner, we went to see Chocolat at Pathe in Rotterdam
